If you wish to read a very, very good post, click here. Wow. That is so good...

-----------------------------------
Well, this morning I went to Church. Sadly, my priest's niece died a few days ago (prayers would be appreciated. Thanks). So he was not there, and another priest came instead. Afterwards, I came home and wrote a letter that I will be mailing to a friend, and otherwise have basically been on the Internet, not doing much. Unfortunately, I forgot to post yesterday (d'oh!). I'm doing a little better on keeping a schedule at least. Just trying to add a little at a time. Right now, about the only thing I have done is make sure I visit LJ everyday, but that's something in any case....

My drafting/surveying teacher will be out of town on Monday-Wednesday, so as I said, tomorrow I do not have any school (except Geology), and Tuesday and Wednesday,we will be having an open lab to get caught up on any assignments we need to do. Then Thursday will be learning about identifying trees (for surveying class).

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

I'd like to post a couple of links of writings of a couple of friends that I thought well worth sharing....

The first is a link to papers that my friend Mardi wrote for an Old Testament Survey class that I thought were very well written. :-)

Papers

(Since that is the link to a tag on her blog, the papers appear in the order of the last posted being at top, and so the papers are in reverse chronological order).

I also highly suggest reading her blog. It is my favorite blog, and she is one of the best writers I know of. :-)

The second link is to a post written by my friend Dawn that I found very powerfully written, and I will not even attempt to try to summarize here. Just go read it. Now. You will definitely be glad that you did. :-)

Post

Not really much to say after that link...

Why, yes, I *do* occasionally update my LJ, even though lately I have been slacking off a little. But really, I do update it! Just not today. :-)

Other than to share another wonderful poem my friend Casey wrote. :-)

Though I do plan on making an update of my own soon, even if it is not as interesting as my friend's poetry. Speaking of which...

His power is a power unlike any other.
any other in the world.
His power His Almighty power

can be seen felt and heard.
It can be heard in the magnificent Glory and authority of His Word.

In the climactic roar and and clap of the thunder, it can be seen
In the mountains In all their glorious splendor.
And In the lightning with it's awe-inspiring flash
and also in the untamed and erratic blaze of fire.
His power can be felt in the wind, whether a gentle breeze or gale force hurricane,

His power takes more than words to ever explain.

His power is never - ending always present
and full of Glory. To know His power is to know His story.

I don't have much to post right now...However, I did wish to share a poem that my friend Casey (from a message board) wrote that I particulary liked. I think she wrote very well. :-)

My Lord Jesus

You give my heart a reason to grow, you give my mind a the knowledge to know,
You make each day seem like a brand new life, each breath I take like my first,
You shelter me In Your arms when times seem the worst.

My lord Jesus Christ, you are always by my side,
through life's journeys far and wide.
You take my hand and lead me into the unknown
Youre always there to let me know I'm not alone.
My sweet Lord, my Saviour, my comrade, my brother, my love..
You give me the power to truly know our father God above.
